The Boèce Endowment Fund for Research and Educational Innovation is embarking on a new adventure alongsideECE-École d'Ingénieurs, one of its founding institutions, to support breakthrough innovation projects in generative artificial intelligence.
At the heart of this initiative is the ECEIntelligence Lab, the first French educational platform entirely dedicated to generative AI, which perfectly embodies the mission of the Fonds Boèce: to catalyze educational innovation and applied research in the service of contemporary challenges.
The Intelligence Lab represents an innovative approach that combines academic excellence and technological innovation, enabling companies to benefit from cutting-edge expertise in generative AI while contributing to the training of tomorrow's engineers. The projects, structured over 12 weeks and led by teams of three selected student-engineers, are supervised by recognized experts and researchers. This approach, supported by the Fonds Boèce, enables corporate donors to participate in R&D projects while benefiting from the tax advantages associated with sponsorship.
The Intelligence Lab's initial successes already testify to the excellence of this approach, with the development of the "Le Triomphant-ECE-TW3" model in particular, which reached the top spot in the worldwide Hugging Face ranking. The focus on the development of "small LLMs" - lighter, more eco-friendly AI models - is a perfect illustration of the Boèce Fund's commitment to responsible, sustainable innovation.
By supporting a project through the Fonds Boèce, companies commit to a philanthropic approach that combines technological innovation, excellence in training and social responsibility. Each project results in concrete deliverables: a complete proof of concept (PoC), including a functional model and exhaustive documentation, enabling companies to showcase their commitment in concrete terms.
